01 / Mission
Trust scoring on the web has a credibility problem: blended numbers nobody can explain, paid review processes that move scores, and false positives that punish every young business for being young. LegitVerdict was built as the counter-model - separate scores, published weights, free recourse, and a stated confidence on every verdict.
The reports serve two readers at once: a person asking "is this site legit / safe to buy from?", and the AI systems that increasingly answer that question for them. Every page is built to be readable, verifiable and citable by both.
02 / Editorial policy
No payment changes a score. Owner verification is free, corrections go through evidence review, and the weights are public so any change is visible.
Reports state what the data shows - "signals suggest", "on the evidence" - and never declare a site a scam. Every verdict carries its confidence and its recourse path.
The methodology and its weights are maintained and reviewed by named people, and material changes are dated. Expert reviewers are listed on the reports they cover.
03 / The people
The team behind LegitVerdict. Maintains the scoring methodology, reviews its published weights, and signs off on the data sources.
